Mauro De Gennaro

Mauro has been passionate about email and digital communications since the early internet. He started in 1993 running a BBS with Fidonet and UUCP email access, later developing a popular C based webmail client and a full mail server supporting IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

After decades in the field, he felt email infrastructure had become stagnant and overly complex. This led him to build a modern mail server from scratch in Rust, bringing a fresh approach to a technology that had changed surprisingly little.
