Larry Masinter

Larry Melvin Masinter is an early Internet pioneer and ACM Fellow. After studying at Stanford University, he became a principal scientist at Xerox Artificial Intelligence Systems and went on to author or co-author 26 Internet Engineering Task Force RFCs, contributing to the foundations of the modern Internet.

Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Larry is now retired and works on projects supporting fellow Parkinson’s patients. More recently, he has returned to his roots in Lisp and early computing through Interlisp.org, helping preserve and revive the Interlisp programming environment and its history.
